Some of Rahul Gandhi's remarks expunged, Congress protests ‘death of democracy’

Lok Sabha on Wednesday expunged from its records certain remarks Rahul Gandhi made in his speech alleging close proximity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with industrialist Gautam Adani, triggering a “death of democracy” reaction from Congress. Focusing entirely on the Adani row, Rahul on Tuesday had alleged that the industrialist’s wealth had risen magically under the BJP government, which had facilitated him with major contracts in India and abroad.
